Drumming Workshop with Melissa
In July of 2007, we had a special treat: a drumming workshop with Reclaiming Witch and drummer extraordinaire Melissa MoonGoddess. This workshop spurred us on to begin holding regular New Moon Song and Drum Circles (see events for more information). Photos by Ellie.

Instructor bio: Melissa MoonGoddess has been a performer and musician all of her life, but only discovered the ecstasy of drumming six years ago. Currently, she drums for two West African Dance & Culture Troupes, Adja and Shidaa, hosts a women's drum and dance gathering in her home twice a month, and drums for an exercise/dance class in the town where she lives. Melissa delights in helping others explore their edges, musically, and finding their own true voice in rhythm and song. Her life mantra is, "Don't hold back, fully be who you are!"
