Ecology of Magic

Connecting Our Spirit to the Rhythm of Nature

A series of six-workshops in Montreal exploring the rhythms and patterns of ecology, magic and sprit, and how they all interconnect.

Between Beltaine and Samhain, we will working with the rhythms of the turning year, the spirits of the land, earth mysteries, energy, and transformation, as well as exploring the magic of local ecosystems.

Classes will be held one Sunday afternoon per month at various nature parks around Montreal, with informal mid-month gatherings for discussion and additional activities. Individual activities, guidance and support will also be provided for those who wish to go deeper into this work.

There will be a meet-the-facilitators and info session on Monday April 30th at Cine Express (1926 Ste-Catherine West), 7pm. (This is an optional event and attentence at the info session is not required to take any of the workshops.)

Class Dates and Cost

Sunday May 6th, 1-5pm at Mont-Royal Park
Sunday June 3rd, 1-5pm at the waterfront in Verdun
Sunday July 8th, 1-5pm on Ile Ste Helene
Sunday August 5th, (10-2pm in Curran, ON)
Sunday September 9th, 1-5pm (location TBD)
Sunday October 14th, 1-5pm (location TBD)

$50 for all six workshops
$10 each individual workshop
Work-exchange available

Facilitators

Amanda is a freelance writer and educator, specializing in science, spirit and nature. In her spare time, she is the Managing Editor of WynterGreene.

Josie is a graduate student at Concordia University and the compost coordinator for LocoLocal, an organisation that seeks to improve the social, economical, and ecological sustainability of the Montreal community through locally-grown food.
